NewJeans' 'mother' Min Hee-jin supports group's decision to return to ADOR
Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of K-pop group NewJeans’ agency ADOR, said she is supporting their decision to return and resume their activities under the company.
ADOR earlier announced that NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein will resume their activities under the agency.
After this, the three other members–Minji, Hanni and Danielle–made their own announcement that they will also return to ADOR.
This decision came after NewJeans lost in the contract validity lawsuit filed by ADOR.
“I've received many inquiries, so I'd like to share my position. Yesterday's decision to return together as a group was made after deep consideration and discussion. I respect and support that decision,” Min Hee-jin said in a statement.
She added, “Despite the difficulties, I cherish the courage of the members who joined hands again to protect each other.”
Min Hee-jin said she “can start anew anywhere.”
“However, I believe that NewJeans must remain intact as a five-member group, no matter the circumstances. I hope the members will become stronger and better as NewJeans in the future, and above all, I wish all five members happiness,” she said.
Min Hee-jin added, “Above all, I thank the fans who supported NewJeans even during these difficult times. Please warmly welcome the members as they overcome their difficulties and return. I, too, will continue to support New Jeans' music and growth. With multiple lawsuits pending simultaneously, this has been a difficult time for all of us.”
“The lawsuit between me and HYBE is a separate lawsuit, unrelated to NewJeans. I am doing my best as an individual, and I hope the truth will be revealed. I ask for your continued support. Thank you,” she said.
