Jollibee reports steady third-quarter profit due to sales growth
Fast-food giant Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) reported a four-percent increase in its net income during the third quarter of 2025, brought by a steady sales volume.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Friday, Nov. 14, JFC said its net income climbed from ₱2.98 billion to ₱3 billion, while its revenues went up by 12.8 percent to ₱76 billion.
Its operating income likewise had a 7.3-percent upward adjustment to ₱5.2 billion, driven by the company’s cost management and continued investments.
Richard Shin, Jollibee Group’s chief financial and risk officer, said that the increase in operating income was also supported by the international business activities.
“We continued to deliver healthy profit growth in the third quarter, though at a more tempered pace compared to the first half of the year. Operating income for the quarter increased by 7.3 percent year-on-year, supported by effective management of general and administrative expenses, alongside strong international business performance led by our Jollibee brand and Compose Coffee,” he said.
System-wide sales also grew by 16.8 percent to ₱115 billion from ₱98 billion.
From July to September, the same-store sales growth (SSSG) in JFC’s international business grew by six percent, with Jollibee Vietnam leading the growth by 25.5 percent.
Same-store sales for the coffee and tea businesses rose 4.1 percent, with Highlands Coffee achieving a 10.4-percent growth.
As of September, Jollibee Group opened 754 new stores, the majority of which are franchised. This record contributed to the overall store network, boosting the number of stores to 10,304 worldwide.
Furthermore, the company is working on increasing its store network via franchising to reduce capital costs.
“Our coffee and tea segment is emerging as a key growth engine, with Compose Coffee on track to exceed 3,000 stores and deliver strong return on invested capital (ROIC). Smashburger is progressing well on its turnaround path, supported by operational improvements and successful campaigns,” Shin shared.
The Jollibee executive assured that the food service company is still on track to sustain its double-digit growth from last year and could potentially prolong this progress by 2026.
