Woman desecrates Pangasinan church

CALASIAO, Pangasinan – Several statues and liturgical equipment were destroyed by a woman at the Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church here on Thursday afternoon.
A church employee said the woman – Julie, 44 – entered and destroyed religious properties without any apparent reason with a wooden baton.
Destroyed were images of the Mary Help of Christians, Saint Jude, Santo Niño (Child Jesus), Sacred Heart of Jesus, and Immaculate Heart of Mary, lectern, candle stand, glass covered relic encasement of Saints Peter and Paul, microphone stand, flower stand, round bells, and candle stand for the image of Christ the King.
The church informed the police who apprehended the suspect. She is detained at the Calasiao police custodial facility.
