Mandaluyong gov't slams use of city's official logo, template for scams
Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos on Wednesday, Nov. 12, could not hide her dismay following the discovery of forged documents containing the city's official logo and template being used to scam people of their money.
Our office has been notified of the unauthorized use of our official Mandaluyong City logo. Please note that Mandaluyong City does not provide forms or application letters to unofficial city affiliates)," Abalos said.
"Ang pagkolekta ng registration fee at pamimigay ng ayuda ay walang pahintulot at kauganayan sa pamahalaang lungsod ng Mandaluyong (The collection of registration fees and distribution of aid is without the permission and affiliation of the Madaluyong city government)," she added.
The mayor urged the public to be cautious of these types of scams and to not engage in the collection and disbursement of any cash aid without the authorization of the city government.
If you receive any application forms or letters claiming to be from Mandaluyong City, we strongly encourage you to verify the authenticity of the document through our official channels or call 8532-5001 or 8534-1662)," she noted.
