Event director arrested before court hearing in Parañaque

An event and film director, tagged as the No. 8 most wanted person, was arrested by members of the Parañaque City Police on Nov. 12 while about to attend a court hearing for multiple counts of estafa and violations of the Bouncing Checks Law.
The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspect as Ronald, 53, a resident of Novaliches, Quezon City. He was arrested at the Parañaque City Hall of Justice in Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City.
Police said members of the Parañaque City Police BF Homes Substation apprehended Ronald for 12 counts of Batas Pambansa Blg. 22 (Bouncing Checks Law) and estafa, based on warrants issued by various courts in Parañaque.
One warrant, for nine counts of BP 22, was issued by Judge Donato Hernandez de Castro of the Parañaque City Municipal Trial Court, Branch 77, with a recommended bail of P912,000.
Another warrant, for three counts of BP 22, was issued by Judge Marisa Marquez Buenagua of Parañaque MTC Branch 90, with a recommended bail of P120,000. An additional estafa case warrant was issued by Judge Xerxes Ultra Garcia of Parañaque Regional Trial Court Branch 295, with a recommended bail of P108,000.
The suspect is currently detained at the Parañaque City Police custodial facility, pending the return of the warrants to their respective courts of origin.
