2 motorcycle taxi riders, 2 others yield P2.2-M 'tuklaw' cigarettes in Marikina
A total of 631 packs of cigarettes that allegedly contain synthetic cannabinoids, locally known as “tuklaw,” worth P2,208,500, were confiscated from four men, including two motorcycle taxi riders, during a buy-bust operation in Marikina City early Thursday, Nov. 13.

The Eastern Police District (EPD) said that the operation was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Barangay Nangka at around 2 a.m.
It resulted in the arrest of the two riders, identified as “Shane,” 21, and “Fin,” 26. The two others were identified as “Zardo” and “Luke,” both 20 years old.
Aside from the “tuklaw” cigarettes, four plastic sachets containing suspected high-grade marijuana (kush) weighing more or less eight grams with an estimated street value of P12,000, as well as other non-drug evidence, were also confiscated from the suspects.
EPD said the confiscated evidence will be turned over to the EPD Forensic Unit in Barangay Mauway, Mandaluyong City, for laboratory examination.
The arrested suspects are temporarily detained at the Marikina CPS Custodial Facility and will face charges for violation of Article II, Sec 5 and Section 11 of RA 9165.
