"Congressmeow" Cavite 4th district Rep. Francisco "Kiko" Barzaga is once again drumming up his quest to impeach President Marcos.
Barzaga celebrated his return to plenary session Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 11 with what else, a new vlog. He couldn't help but throw shade at his fellow congressmen while he was at it.
"Yun oh, back to session na si Congressmeow Pusadog (Look, Congressmeow Pusadog is back in plenary session)," the gen Z solon said.
"Daming nag-absent na mga buwaya ngayon pero laging present si lodi Sandro Marcos, ang sipag niyan. Idol ko yan (A lot of crocodiles are absent today, but lodi Sandro Marcos is always present, he's quite industrious. He's my idol)," noted the eccentric Barzaga as he followed the House majority leader with his phone.
Barzaga then quickly transitioned to the impeachment complaint on his table and said, "Kaya i-impeach ko yung tatay niya kasi hanggang ngayon, magpa-Pasko na, wala pang nakukulong at ang dami nang namatay dahil sa flood control ni Marcos."
(That's why I'm going to impeach his father because up to now, with Christmas fast approaching, nobody has been jailed yet and many people have died before of Marcos' flood control projects.)
"Kaya impeach na natin yan (That’s why it's time to impeach him). Bye-bye! Hehehehehe," he said of the elder Marcos.
It was last Oct. 8 when Barzaga first revealed his impeachment complaint against President Marcos, also during a vlog in plenary.
The Dasmariñas City solon said he was seeking Marcos' ouster "under the ground of betrayal of public trust" in connection with the flood control project anomalies.
If he’s serious with this, Barzaga must file and endorse the impeachment complaint before the House secretary general.
Tuesday's plenary session was the first time the 300-plus strong House recovened after the month-long "Undas" break.
