The historic Goldenberg Mansion once again opened its doors for an evening of Philippine folk music and heritage on the 20th installation of its Goldenberg Concert Series, featuring the PCSO Vocal Ensemble.
The PCSO Vocal Ensemble is a world-class chamber group of the PCSO Chorale, composed of talented employees of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office [PCSO]. Conceived through the vision of broadening their agency’s cultural and goodwill initiatives, the ensemble was formed to represent the chorale in performances requiring a smaller group of singers, offering a more intimate musical experience.
Notable performances :
• President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s birthday celebration, Salo-salo sa Palasyo 2025
• Opening of the Presidential Action Center [PACE]

Under the artistic direction of internationally acclaimed conductor and arranger Robert Delgado, the PCSO Vocal Ensemble performs a diverse repertoire that celebrates Filipino heritage through traditional, art, popular, and contemporary works.
About Goldenberg Concert Series
Now in its 20th concert, the series highlights both established and emerging artists, offering students the opportunity to experience live classical music through performances by homegrown talents with international recognition. It aims to highlight the potential and possibilities for the next generation of musicians.
The Significance of the Goldenberg Mansion
The Goldenberg Mansion was built in the 1800s by the Eugster family and acquired in 1950 by cosmetics magnate Michael Goldenberg, which it is named after. The government has included this property as part of its Malacañang Heritage Mansions. It has undergone a meticulous renovation and preservation process. With the addition of a modern glasshouse, it now stands as a premier venue for cultural events, artistic showcases, and exclusive private functions—embodying both historical legacy and contemporary sophistication.
The Audience
The beautiful concert took place on the 7th of November 2025, at the majestic Goldenberg Mansion. The show had two sets with a special audience from various educational institutions at 2 pm and 5 pm.
The 2 pm show saw the arrival of 150 students from Mataas na Paaralang Neptali A. Gonzales, Our Lady of Guadalupe Colleges, Inc., Nueve de Febrero Elementary School & the Future Minds Academy of Mandaluyong.
The 5 pm show welcomed more students from Mandaluyong Elementary School & San Felipe Neri Catholic School, comprising a total of 60 guests for the second concert.
As the show came to a close, the musically inclined attendees left the grounds motivated by the local ensemble’s awe-inspiring performance. Through their transparently joyful expressions, the concert at the extraordinary Goldenberg Mansion was a success. We remain hopeful that the show provided inspiration, encouragement, and support to those who are considering a career in music.
The evening’s performance affirmed the Concert Series’ goal of preserving tradition, while educating and nurturing future Filipino musicians and audiences. Collaborations and initiatives like this allow the Goldenberg Concert Series to highlight the power of music in connecting communities and igniting passions — while honoring the artists who have paved the way for the next generation.
