Dugyot no more: Mayor Isko orders repair, renovation of worn-down barangay building

Residents of Barangay 598 in Old Sta. Mesa, Manila, can look forward to more health and social services for their community as Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso ordered the repair and renovation of its dilapidated multi-purpose building on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Domagoso made the statement following his inspection of the facility located along Damka Street together. He was joined by City Engineer Armando Andres and other city government officials.
Aside from repairing the noticeable damages in the building's structure, the mayor also ordered its renovation to allow the installation of more offices and facilities to further expand the barangay's services for its residents.
These include:
- Pharmacy
- Health Center
- Day Care
- Dental Consultation Area
- Wellness Area
- Open space for community gatherings and events
"Layunin ng proyekto na mas mapalakas ang serbisyo publiko at matugunan ang pangangailangan ng ating mga Batang Maynila, lalo na sa usaping pangkalusugan at kapakanan (The project aims to strengthen public services and meet the needs of our Batang Maynila, especially in matters of health and welfare)," the mayor said.
"Tayo po ay patuloy na magbubuti sa ating trabaho upang mapagsilbihan ng maayos ang ating mga kababayan. Patuloy po tayong magsisinop at magsusubi upang maging episkyente at epektibo ang mga programang gagawin ng inyong pamahalaang lungsod para sa mga Batang Maynila (We will continue to improve our work to serve our countrymen well. We will continue to organize and innovate so that the programs that your city government will implement for all Batang Maynila will be efficient and effective)," he added.
