Drunk man killed after throwing stones at house in Rizal

A man was arrested after fatally stabbing a drunken individual who awakened him by making noise while throwing stones at his house in Barangay Pinugay, Baras, Rizal, on Tuesday night, Nov. 11.

Based on the initial investigation of the Baras Municipal Police Station (Baras MPS), the incident occurred at around 10:40 p.m. when the victim, identified as “Rey,” was allegedly on a drinking spree.

Authorities said while Rey was under the influence of alcohol, he suddenly began throwing stones at the house of the suspect, identified as “Ramon.”

The noise from the stone-throwing awakened the suspect, prompting him to confront the victim. This led to a heated argument that escalated into a physical confrontation.

Both men attacked each other with bladed weapons.

The victim was brought to Cabading Hospital in Antipolo City but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities initially went to the suspect’s house but later located him at Cabading Hospital around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, where he was receiving medical treatment. A witness identified him as the suspect.

He is now under police custody.
