Don't stop trusting in God, VP Sara tells 'Tino' evacuees in Danao City

CEBU CITY – Vice President Sara Duterte on Wednesday, Nov. 12, visited Danao City, Cebu province, one of the areas hardest-hit by typhoon "Tino."
Duterte visited Barangay Taytay, one of the 42 barangays in Danao severely hit by flash floods during the onslaught of Tino on Nov. 4.
The Vice President distributed relief packs to affected families and evacuees at the D.T. Durano Elementary School, where many residents continue to take shelter after their homes and properties were swept away by floods.
In her message, Duterte urged affected residents to keep their faith strong amid the challenges.
“Ayaw gyud mo og hunong sa pagsalig sa Ginoo (Don’t stop trusting in God),” Duterte said.
Duterte was welcomed by Mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III, Vice Mayor Ivy Durano, and former Mayor Mix Durano.
Mayor Durano thanked the Vice President for visiting Danao, saying the visit will help lift the morale of displaced families.
“Nagpasalamat ta nga gibisita ta niya dinhi sa Danao. Nalipay ta sa iyang oras, presensya ug moral support para sa mga Danawanon. Importante kaayo na (We are thankful that she visited Danao. We are happy with the time, presence and moral support that she gave to the Danawanons),” Mayor Durano said.
