With Christmas trees decorated with silver tinsel and gold ornaments, Conrad Manila officially ushered in the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree lighting event. Held in its grand lobby on November 11, 2025, the elegant event marked a joyous occasion with the “Bright Holidays, Brilliant Memories” theme that centered on gratitude, family togetherness, and the warmth of the Christmas spirit.
General Manager Rupert Hallam welcomed the gathering of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation (SMHCC) executives, members of the diplomatic community, special guests, and media. “Christmas is all about family, especially in times like these, when we think about the people being affected by the typhoons, so please enjoy Christmas. But make sure you hold your family close and make them feel really special,” delivered by Hallam in his welcome remarks.
Congressman Antonio Calixto and Pasay Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano delivered their Christmas messages.
SMHCC President Elizabeth T. Sy led the Christmas tree lighting activity, followed by the holiday season toast of Executive Vice President Peggy Angeles. The program also dedicated a moment of silence in honor of the affected families and individuals of the recent calamities.
Bernie Pasamba & the Music Makers, soprano Lara Maigue, and the UST Singers delivered musical performances with lively musical numbers with classic pieces and well-loved Christmas songs such as “Overture from the Magic Flute,” “Queen of the Night,” “La Vie en Rose,” “Circle of Life,” “A Christmas Festival,” “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “Munting Sanggol,” and the Mantovani Christmas medley.
