Caloocan LGU bags multiple DILG awards for good governance

The Caloocan City government announced on Tuesday, Nov. 11, that the city was recognized for its outstanding performance in various areas of governance during the 2025 Urban Exemplar Awards of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
According to the city’s Public Information Office, the city received top honors as the Top Performer in the Local Council against Anti-Trafficking and Violence against Women and Children (LCAT-VAWC) and was cited for Ideal Functionality in the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) for Performance Year 2024.
The local government also emerged as the Top Performer in the Informal Settler Families Cluster under the Manila Bay Clean-Up, Rehabilitation, and Preservation Program (MBCRP) LGU Compliance.
In addition, it was also recognized as a Significant and Invaluable Partner by the Peace and Order Council (POC) and Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) and received an award for Exemplary Performance by the Sangguniang Panlungsod under the 2025 Local Legislative Awards.
The recognitions highlighted the city's continued excellence in local governance, social protection, environmental management, peace and order, and legislative performance.
The local government reaffirmed its commitment to advancing ongoing programs and ensuring that all initiatives continue to serve the best interests of its residents.
