Travelers passing through Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 now have a new dining destination with the opening of Watami Grill and Sushi Bar. Located on the second-floor mezzanine food hall, the new branch marks Watami’s 23rd location in the Philippines and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Part of The Bistro Group’s growing portfolio of international restaurant concepts, Watami’s expansion to NAIA offers both convenience and comfort for travelers, airline staff, and food enthusiasts seeking authentic Japanese flavors at any hour.
As one of the country’s most popular Japanese casual dining chains, Watami is known for its modern interpretation of classic Japanese dishes. The new airport branch continues that tradition, serving well-balanced meals and fresh, flavorful dishes in a welcoming, contemporary space designed to provide respite for passengers before or after a flight.
A highlight of the menu is Watami’s Teishoku set, a Japanese meal composed of rice, miso soup, pickles, and a main dish. Guests can choose from favorites such as Chicken Katsu Teishoku, Salmon Teriyaki Teishoku, and Beef Sukiyaki Teishoku, each prepared using premium ingredients and traditional cooking methods.
In addition to its Teishoku offerings, the restaurant serves its signature sushi rolls, sashimi platters, donburi bowls, grilled specialties, and ramen. Among the must-try dishes are the Watami Signature Roll, Spicy Salmon Tartare, and Grilled Beef Short Ribs, each reflecting the brand’s balance of flavor, freshness, and texture.
The interiors of the new branch feature warm tones and clean lines, creating a relaxing environment for guests to enjoy meals at any time of day. The Bistro Group describes Watami’s concept as “affordable Japanese dining made premium,” a philosophy reflected in its service and design.
Whether travelers are catching a flight, waiting for arrivals, or simply craving Japanese comfort food, Watami at NAIA Terminal 3 offers a 24-hour dining experience that combines convenience, quality, and the essence of Japanese hospitality.
