ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office-6 and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) have received more than P20 million aid from the Iloilo provincial government.
The administration of Gov. Arthur “Toto” Defensor Jr. released last week checks for P20.3 million for the rehabilitation of key infrastructures of PRO-6 and IPPO.
PRO-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan and IPPO head Police Col. Bayani Razalan received the checks from Iloilo Provincial Administrator Raul Banias.
“This partnership strengthens our mission and inspires every member of Team PRO-6 to serve with even greater commitment, knowing that our local government and our people stand firmly behind us,” said Ligan.
The IPPO will receive P15.3 million for their operation program that aims to enhance operational efficiency, logistical capability, and community-based policing initiatives in the 42 towns and component city of Passi.
The PRO-6 will receive P5 million for the rehabilitation of the water system in Camp Delgado, the police regional headquarters in Iloilo City.
Banias assured that the Defensor administration supports the police’s mandate in maintaining peace and order.
“This is our pledge to you. We will provide the tools you need to secure our children’s future,” added Banias.
