President Marcos and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos offered mass for families devastated by the recent typhoons hitting the country.
In a social media post, the First Lady shared a series of photos of her and the President, including some members of their family while attending the mass on Sunday, Nov. 9, as the country battled another typhoon—Super Typhoon Uwan.
"We offered our Sunday Mass for all the families affected by the recent typhoons," the First Lady said.
"May you find strength, protection, and comfort in the days ahead. Let us continue to care for one another," she added.
Former first lady Imelda Marcos and presidential sister Irene Marcos also attended the mass that took place at the Malacañan Palace.
As of Monday, Nov. 10, the OCD reported four fatalities due to Super Typhoon Uwan, two of them, however, are still being validated by the agency.
The super typhoon is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) early Tuesday, Nov. 11, but could re-enter on Wednesday, Nov. 12, as it moves over the waters southwest of Taiwan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
