Expect flight delays, cancellations due to 'Uwan' effects, NAIA tells passengers
Some flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) may either be delayed or cancelled as a result of the onslaught of Super Typhoon "Uwan".
NAIA management then urged passengers with scheduled flights to check directly with their airlines through official websites or social media pages for the latest flight updates, rebooking options, or possible refunds.
It said NAIA remains on heightened alert, with teams deployed across terminals to assist passengers and ensure that airport operations continue safely.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) reported that most airports under its jurisdiction have no major damage.
But it said minor damage were reported in some airports like ceilings, roofs, glass panels, and perimeter fences.
On the other hand. CAAP has lifted NOTAMs (Notices to Airmen) for Bicol International, Masbate, Naga, Virac, Daet, and Cauayan airports.
Baguio Airport has reopened, however Visual Flight Rules (VFR) remain suspended due to poor visibility caused by heavy rains.
Operations continue to be temporarily suspended at:
• Bulan Airport
• Bacon Airport
• Sangley Airport
• Plaridel Airport
• Iba Airport
• Subic Airport
