Woman killed by collapsed house

TACLOBAN CITY – A 64-year-old woman was found dead Sunday in Seaside Pier 2, Barangay 3, Catbalogan City, Samar.
The victim’s house made of light materials suddenly collapsed due to typhoon “Uwan” while she was inside.
Her body was retrieved by the Catbalogan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Bureau of Fire Protection Catbalogan, and the Philippine Coast Guard.
The victim’s body taken to the Samar Memorial Chapel (SMC).
A post-mortem examination was requested before the Catbalogan City Health Office.
Twenty houses were washed out by huge waves in area triggered by Uwan.
