Johnny Manahan signs with TV5: 'This partnership feels like a natural fit for me'

Entertainment icon and starmaker, Johnny Manahan, better known as Mr. M, has officially joined MQuest Ventures and MQuest Artists Agency.
Joining Mr. M at the momentous contract signing held last Nov. 6 at the TV5 Media Center, were several MediaQuest executives, including chairman Manny "MVP" Pangilinan and president Jane Jimenez-Basas.
Mr. M expressed excitement about the partnership noting how he shares the same passion with MQuest in creating and giving opportunities to talented individuals.
"This partnership feels like a natural fit for me. MQuest shares the same passion I've always had in discovering, developing, and celebrating great Filipino talent. I'm excited to collaborate with this incredible team and help create opportunities that inspire," he said.
Meanwhile, MVP expressed his gratitude to Mr. M for choosing TV5 as his newest family.
"I've known you for quite several years already, Mr. M. I'm glad that you finally found a home in TV5. So, thank you for joining us. We've always believed in investing in Filipino talent, their stories, their artistry, and their dreams. Having Mr. M on board strengthens that mission. Together, we aim to bring out the best in our people and elevate the industry to new heights," MVP said.
Beginning his career in the early 1970s as TV director and writer, Mr. M's passion, artistry, and leadership made him one of the most influential figures in Philippine entertainment.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has discovered, guided, and built the careers of many of the country’s biggest stars, such as Piolo Pascual, Jericho Rosales, Dimples Romana, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, John Lloyd Cruz, and Bea Alonzo, among others.
With this new partnership, Mr. M promises to continue what he started with a new generation of artists.
"MVP has given me a mandate to build a world-class, in-your-face artist center that will discover and train the artists of the new decade. Because MVP knows that it is stars that are at the center of the content-making business. Not the directors, not the writers or scripts."
"The stars. No stars, no content. You better believe it. And yes, ladies and gentlemen, we will be in the business of star-making. We have been at it for some time now, and more than ever, we know what works and what won't," Mr. M said.
His signature approach to mentorship – combining discipline, artistry, and heart – has earned him the title  “The Master of Star-Making.” 
"Mr. M has always represented excellence in storytelling and performance. We look forward to letting his genius mind develop and inspire our artists into becoming the stars they are meant to be,” shared Jeffrey Remigio, MQAA (MQuest Artist Agency) Head.
