Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando visited the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) Operations Center on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8, 2025, to oversee real-time monitoring on low-lying areas and river systems that may be affected by Super Typhoon Uwan.
Governor Fernando instructed PDRRM Executive Officer Manuel M. Lukban Jr. to alert all municipal and city mayors in Bulacan to be ready and remain in constant communication with the command post of the PDRRM Office at the Capitol Compound in the City of Malolos.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office head Rowena Joson-Tiongson was also directed to prepare relief goods and other basic necessities such as blankets, bottled water, and mats for immediate distribution.
The Bulacan governor likewise ordered the various municipal and city disaster risk reduction and management units to evacuate residents living along riverbanks and prepare the designated evacuation centers. All hospitals run by the provincial government were also instructed to ensure adequate supplies of medicines and vaccines.
Meanwhile, Lukban briefed officials of concerned agencies, including the Bulacan Police Provincial Office led by Col. Angel L. Garcillano, the Philippine Army, and various emergency rescue units and volunteer groups. He also identified flood-prone areas where rescue teams will be deployed.
From Signal No. 2 on Saturday, the storm warning level was raised to Signal No. 3 on Sunday morning in Angat, Baliwag City, Balagtas, Bocaue, Bulakan, Bustos, Calumpit, Guiguinto, Hagonoy, Malolos City, Marilao, Obando, Pandi, Paombong, Plaridel, Pulilan, Santa Maria, and San Jose del Monte City.
