ZAMBOANGA CITY - The Zamboanga City government has sent relief assistance to typhoon-devastated Cebu province.
The Philippine Coast Guard, through the Coast Guard Southwestern Mindanao, mobilized the BRP Corregidor to transport relief goods.
Sent were more than 1,000 boxes of bottled water and jerry cans, medicines, 500 sacks of 10-kilogram rice, sardines, and biscuits.
The vessel left Zamboanga city on Thursday, Nov. 6, and is expected to arrive in Cebu on Saturday morning.
“Tulong tulong po tayo dito para maibsan man lang ang mga problema ng ating mga kababayan sa Cebu,” said Commodore Rejard V. Marfe.
