Quintans, FPM, CTRP; PMAP Vice President Dr. Roland Suico; and members of the judging panel during the 49th PMAP Awards at NUSTAR Cebu City.
The People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) celebrated excellence in people management during the 49th PMAP Awards Night held at NUSTAR Hotel in Cebu City last October 23.
The event is one of the highlights of the 3-day 62nd PMAP Annual Conference that gathered human resource leaders, industry executives, and organizations that continue to shape the country’s people management landscape through a culture of constant improvement and purpose-driven leadership.
Among this year’s awardees was Golden Arches Development Corporation (McDonald’s Philippines), honored as Employer of the Year (EOY) for its steadfast commitment to promoting high employee experience, inclusion, and professional and personal growth, solidifying its reputation as one of the Philippines’ top employers.
The People Manager of the Year (PMY) Award was bestowed upon Ms. Cheryll Ruth L. Agsaoay, Senior Vice President and Group Head for Human Resources of SM Supermalls, in recognition of her outstanding leadership in fostering a culture of constant improvement, collaboration, and excellence across one of the country’s largest retail networks.
For the People Program of the Year (PPY) category, Franklin Baker, Incorporated, was recognized for its L3F (Livelihoods Fund for Family Farming): Coco1 and Coco2
program; Far Eastern University, honored for its Bread of Hope initiative; and EastWest Banking Corporation, commended for its People Advantage Gameplan – People Experience Made Easy program. These outstanding initiatives highlighted the transformative impact of people-centered programs in fostering sustainable growth and community development.
PMAP also honored outstanding organizations and individuals as the 49th PMAP Awards Exemplars, recognizing their continued commitment to excellence in people management. Cebu Landmasters, Inc., GCash, HSBC Electronic Data Processing Philippines, and Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata Inc. were named EOY Exemplars, while Mr. Robert Conrad O. Gonzales of GCash (Mynt – Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc.) was recognized as the PMY Exemplar. Under the PPY category, Golden ABC, Inc. was recognized for its GABC Days program, Shopping Center Management Corporation (SM Supermalls) for Sustainable Moves: SM Supermalls’ Environmental Sustainability Initiatives for the Community, and Sprout Solutions for its AI and Tech Enablement Program—each honored for their innovative and people- centered initiatives.
Now gearing towards its 70th anniversary next year, PMAP continues to champion human capital excellence and responsible leadership. Through the annual PMAP Awards, the association celebrates organizations and individuals that embody integrity, inclusivity, and a culture of constant improvement, proving that when people thrive, businesses and communities thrive with them.
