Perpetual aims for its ninth win and an outright quarterfinal berth when it faces San Sebastian in the NCAA Season 101 men's basketball tournament on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
The Altas, who hold an 8-1 win-loss record, battle the Stags at 2:30 p.m. which comes after the Letran-Jose Rizal University duel at 11 a.m.
In its 88-85 triple-overtime win over San Beda last week, Perpetual leaned on Patrick Sleat who had 23 points, six rebounds and four assists, and got enough support from sophomore Mark Gojo Cruz who tallied 20 points, five rebounds and five assists.
"I told them, don't be complacent, let's stick to our game plan and play a good defense, We are now in the second round, let's expect them to avenge their loss to us," coach Olsen Racela said during their practice recently.
Racela will also rely on John Abis, Shawn Orgo, Jearico Nuñez, John Paul Boral, Josh Alcantara, LA Casinillo and Allen Maglupay.
