Recovered pieces of evidence (QCPD PIO)
Operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested six individuals and recovered a total of P655,000 worth of shabu in a series of buy-bust operations in the city.
Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station apprehended three individuals identified as alias “Sarah”, 56, alias “Cedei”, 31, and alias “Jeffrey”, 49, all residents of Bagong Silangan, in an entrapment operation at around 2:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
A police officer acted as a poseur buyer and bought P500 worth of shabu from alias Sarah.
Recovered from the suspects were 45 grams of shabu worth P306,000, three cellphones, a glass pipe, and the buy-bust money.
In another operation, Masambong Police Station (PS 2) arrested “Daiguro”, 28, of Barangay Masambong, and “Christian”, 29, of Barangay Del Monte, around 2:10 a.m. on Nov. 1.
Authorities recovered from them 2,050 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P246,000, a cellphone, two plastic bags, and the buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, operatives from the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) collared one "Christian Paul,” 28, a resident of Barangay San Antonio, during a buy-bust at the corner of Fernando Poe Jr. Avenue and E. Beltran Street in Barangay Katipunan at 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 29. Seized from him were 15.29 grams of shabu valued at P103,972, a cellphone, an eco-bag, and the buy-bust money.
Records revealed that “Sarah” and “Cedei” had prior violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (R.A. 9165), while “Christian” was previously charged with frustrated homicide in 2015. “Christian Paul”, on the other hand, had earlier cases for violations of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 and two counts of R.A. 9165.
All suspects will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
