Sexagenarian swept away by raging flood

TACLOBAN CITY – A 62-year-old grandmother went missing at the height of typhoon “Tino” in Barangay Hilaan, Bontoc town, Southern Leyte province on Tuesday afternoon.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said Yolanda Labastida and her husband were evacuating from their residence located near a creek that overflowed due to Tino when she was swept away by raging floodwater.
Authorities are currently conducting search and rescue operations for the victim.
Bontoc was one of the municipalities in Southern Leyte heavily devastated by Tino.
