Parañaque bags multiple awards at DILG Urban Governance Exemplar Awards

The city government of Parañaque received seven awards during the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Urban Governance Exemplar Awards held at Novotel in Quezon City on Nov. 4.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the city received the awards for exceptional progress in peace and order, services for the youth and women, and others.
The city was also awarded as a significant and invaluable partner for a Safe, Secure and Drug Free National Capital Region (NCR) by the Peace and Order Council and Anti-Drug Abuse Council.
Parañaque's other recognitions include the following: Ideal Functionality of local council for the protection of children; Exemplary for the City Council; Highly Functional of local committee on anti- trafficking and violence against women and children; Moderately Compliant for 2024 Manila Bay Clean-up, Rehabilitation and Preservation Program; Top 2 for 2024 Regional Fisheries Compliance Audit; and LGU host for the fourth quarter Tangguyob Convergence 2025.
