BUTUAN CITY – Typhoon ‘’Tino’’ has affected 1,432 families or 5,348 individuals in this city.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) said affected families were from 28 barangays, particularly low-lying areas.
They are staying in evacuation centers across the city. Twenty evacuation areas are being used by evacuees.
The City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD) continues to deliver relief goods and necessities to evacuees.
Some barangays experienced temporary power interruption, but no water interruption or communication outage was recorded.
Travel to the Port of Lumbocan, Butuan City and Nasipit, Agusan del Norte remains suspended due to inclement weather.
The CDRRMD said no storm-related casualties were recorded and assessment of possible damage to infrastructure and the city’s agriculture sector is underway.
