History beckons Filipino golfer Miguel Tabuena as he keeps an inside track of a potential entry to the LIV Golf League.
Buoyed by his breakthrough in the International Series Philippines and a respectable joint-21 finish in the the Hong Kong Open last Sunday, the Filipino ace kept his spot at No.2 in the latest IS rankings.
Tabuena earned 54.74 ranking points to hike his total to 221.9 just behind leader Scott Vincent of Zimbabwe with 325.59 points.
Chasing them are Lucas Herbert and Wade Ormsby both from Australia with 202.95 and 195 points respectively to land at the third and fourth spots.
On Tuesday, Nov. 3, the LIV Golf announced that the top 2 golfers in the final 2025 International Series ranking will earn the spots in the prestigious league. Originally, only the top player in the leaderboard qualifies to the elite league that features 54-hole events.
This only meant Tabuena is in the position to claim the LIV Golf berth although he still needs strong performances to hold on to his spot since there are still two events remaining in this year’s calendar.
The 31-year-old needs a solid showing in the IS series - the Moutai Singapore Open on Nov. 6 to 9 and the PIF Saudi International on Nov. 19 to 22 to cement his spot and formally earn the historic berth.
