President Marcos has ordered the release of the year-end bonus and cash gift for government employees this month, Malacañang announced on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
“Sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. maagang maipamimigay ng Department of Budget and Management o DBM ngayong buwan ang year-end bonus at P5,000 pesos cash gift sa mga kawani ng gobyerno (Under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) will release the year-end bonus and the P5,000 cash gift for government employees earlier this month,” Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said in Palace briefing.
For fiscal year 2025, a total of P63.69 billion was allocated for the year-end bonus of civilian, military and uniformed personnel while P9.24 billion was allocated for the P5,000 cash gift for more than 1.85 million government employees.
Castro said the early release of the year-end bonus and cash gift by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) demonstrated the Marcos administration's appreciation for public servants and their heroism for the nation.
“Isa rin ito sa mga hakbang ng pamahalaan sa pagkilala sa pagsisikap at dedikasyon ng mga kawani ng gobyerno (This is also one of the government’s ways of recognizing the hard work and dedication of public servants),” Castro said.
