An evening in Malacañang: A presidential night tour
A rare cultural experience inside the palace grounds
The Office of the Social Secretary proudly presents An Evening in Malacañang: A Presidential Night Tour—a one-night-only event offering the public a rare opportunity to experience the historic beauty of the Malacañang Heritage Mansions majestically presented under the glow of evening lights. For the first time ever, last Friday, 30 October 2025, Teus Mansion, Bahay Ugnayan & Baguio Mansion House showcased guided tours after dusk.
TEUS MANSION
Named after Valentin Teus, a Basque immigrant who arrived in the Philippines in 1847 and later founded Tanduay Distillers, Teus Mansion now houses the Presidential Museum after undergoing an extensive renovation process. The museum visitors are offered a glimpse of rare portraits and historical memorabilia that represent the personal and public lives of the nation’s 17 presidents— preserving the legacy of Philippine leadership.
BAHAY UGNAYAN
Originally donated by the Madrigal family to the government shortly before World War II, Bahay Ugnayan served as a government office until May 2023, when it was reimagined as a dynamic museum. It now chronicles the personal and political journey of the incumbent President of the Philippines, currently hosting President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s 'Road to Malacañang' exhibit.
BAGUIO MANSION HOUSE
The Baguio Mansion House has long served as the unofficial summer residence of the Philippine President, dating back to the Commonwealth era. Following extensive renovations, it has now been inaugurated as a Presidential Museum, enriching the nation’s summer capital with its historical significance.
Through these tours, visitors will encounter narratives that reveal the human side of history—from the personal stories of former leaders to the quiet mysteries and fascinating moments that have shaped our nation’s history for centuries. The event aims to promote a deeper appreciation of the historic Malacañang Heritage Mansions as a living repository of Philippine heritage and culture.
“An Evening in Malacañang” represents the administration’s commitment to preserving the integrity of its national landmarks. The initiative to open its doors to the public, as vessels for educational and cultural exploration, is a testament to the importance given to the colorful history of the Philippines.
It was an unforgettable night of history, architecture, and light—an evening that brought Malacañang’s legacy to life in a way few had ever witnessed.
