Three people were injured after a white Geely SUV crashed into several parked motorcycles along Marilaque Highway in Baras, Rizal, last Nov. 2, the Baras Municipal Police said.
Based on the police report, the SUV, driven by a 39-year-old man from Manila, suddenly rammed into the motorcycles that were parked near the side of the road due to a still unknown reason while he was on his way to Tanay.
The impact caused the six motorcycles to tumble down, hitting three women identified as passengers on some of them. They were immediately rushed to the Quirino Memorial Hospital in Quezon City for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the riders of the six motorcycles were unharmed in the accident.
The SUV driver was placed under police custody and is now facing possible charges for reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries and damage to property.
The police urged motorists to take extra caution when traversing through Marilaque, as it is considered an accident-prone area.
