A POLICE line blocks the entrance to the BIR office in Ipil municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay province after the murder of two security guards.
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Two security guards were found dead with multiple bullet wounds at the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) office in Ipil municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay province on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
The Ipil Municipal Police Station identified the victims as 52-year-old Jamie Dante, a resident of Naga municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay, and 41-year-old Arkhadz Dawila Muharral, a resident of Tungawan municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Ipil MPS chief Police Major Pocholo Rolando Guerrero said a utility worker found the bodies of the victims upon arrival at the office.
Dante's body was slumped near a bench in the receiving area while Muharral was found inside another room.
The utility worker sought assistance from the police who later found empty shells of a 9mm pistol at the crime scene.
The families of the slain guards are crying for justice.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
