The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) declared the 2025 observance of Undas generally peaceful, with no major incidents disrupting the city’s cemeteries and public areas during the long weekend.
According to QCPD Acting District Director PCOL Randy Glenn Silvio, the city remained in order throughout the observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.
Police said no significant disturbances, although one individual was arrested for a drug-related offense, and several prohibited items including matchboxes, lighters, cigarettes, vapes, and a cutter were confiscated from visitors at cemeteries.
The QCPD also noted the smooth and secure implementation of the extensive deployment of personnel and the establishment of Police Assistance Desks (PADs) across major cemeteries, transport terminals, and high-traffic areas.
Pcol. Silvio lauded the efforts of police personnel and partner agencies for their diligence throughout the observance.
“Saludo ako sa bawat isa sa ating hanay na nagpakita ng malasakit at dedikasyon, mula sa pag-iinspeksyon sa mga sementeryo hanggang sa pagbabantay sa mga transport hubs (I salute each and every one of our ranks who showed care and dedication, from inspecting cemeteries to guarding transport hubs),” he said.
“Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit naging tahimik at payapa ang Undas ngayong taon (You are the reason why this year's Undas was so peaceful and quiet),” he added.
The district chief also extended his appreciation to barangay tanods, Advocacy Support Groups, Patrolya ng Bayan teams, private security guards, and units from the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), the Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD), and Task Force Disiplina for helping maintain peace, manage traffic, and assist the public.
