P1.6-M floating kush recovered in Batangas

Suspected dried marijuana or kush valued at P1.6 million was recovered in Barangay San Piro, Balayan, Batangas on Sunday morning, Nov. 2.
These were reportedly dumped in the West Philippine Sea and drifted toward Barangay San Piro.
Barangay Chairman Roderick Reyes delos Reyes informed the Balayan Municipal Police Station of the recovery of the contraband – 27 packs of dried marijuana weighing 13.5 kilograms in six rice sacks.
Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth T. Lucas, PRO 4-A director, commended the vigilance of barangay officials and the prompt response of the Balayan police.
The recovered illegal drugs have been turned over to the Batangas Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination and proper disposition.
