'OPM: Then & Now,' a rare concert at The Music Museum
Leah Navarro, Richard Reynoso, and Gino Padilla
"OPM: Then and Now" will bring together the iconic OPM singers performing on one stage in one event with rising OPM talents. It's a rare Golden OPM concert.
Leah Navarro, will head the cast of performers and will be joined by excellent seasoned performers Richard Reynoso and Gino Padilla.
For baby boomers and millennials, the concert will be a rare treat. Miss Navarro will croon in her inimitable way "Buhay ng Buhay Ko," "Lagi na Lang," and Kailangan Kita," all written by the equally unforgettable Pinoy composer George Canseco, whose first career was as a deskman in a newspaper.
Leah may be expected to belt out the ever-vibrant "Isang Mundo, Isang Awit" written by Ryan Cayabyab, now a National Artist for Music.
OPM stalwart Richard Reynoso popularized the haunting "Paminsan-Minsan," "Maaalala Mo Pa Rin," "Hindi ko Kaya," and others. Gino is super well-known for "Let the Love Begin," Closer You and I, and "Gusto Kita."
Featured artists in OPM: Then and Now are Mygz Molino, Mia Japson, Jam Leviste, and the group Styra, composed of Calli Fabia, Joanna Lara, Angel Jamila, Ash Lee, and Hazel Valderama.
Also performing are rising stars Jeri Violago, Anasity Jardeleza, Cye Soriano, Aleck Calata, Champ Rayan, Yunah Peliño, Jude Silva, Carlos, and Dasha Zaballas, and G3 comprises George, Gin, and Gil Froyalde.
Daydreamer Entertainment Production artists and talents breaking through in the concert are those of Direk Tonz Are. His talents are Prince Rae Dantes, Alfred Natividad, Jerome Francis, Cyper Ernelli Tabares, Cyline Emerlli Tabares, and Althea De Leon.
Also part of this concert are Beverly Labadlabad, the controversial talent manager and soon a recording artist, and Dan Lagroma, a rising recording artist from Mindanao.
OPM: Now & Then is presented by The Entertainment Arts & Media (TEAM) as a fundraiser for children with cancer at Child Haus, a halfway home for children from the provinces who need treatment at hospitals and medical centers in Metro Manila. Childhaus is at 1448 Agoncillo St., Manila.
