Police Regional Office-1 (Ilocos) director Police Brig. Gen. Dindo Reyes commended the Villasis, Pangasinan Municipal Police Station for arresting a suspected robber minutes after the incident on Friday afternoon, Oct. 31.
Investigation said three men on board two motorcycles arrived and barged inside a convenience store.
Two armed suspects declared a holdup and forcibly took P200,000 in cash and two cellular phones from the cashier. They suspects fled on their motorcycles on McArthur Highway.
Police received a report and 2:51 p.m. and arrived in the store at 2:52 p.m.
The suspects were pursued and one of them was tracked through Global Positioning System after boarding a passenger bus. The suspect Mark, 34, a construction worker from Rosales, Pangasinan, was arrested.
Recovered from the suspect's possession were two guns and bullets, five cellular phones, one stolen Lankaidi bag, one blue Lacoste sling bag, and cash.
Mark is in police custody and faces robbery and illegal possession of firearms cases.
A manhunt is underway for Mark’s companions.
