A total of 30 individuals were left homeless when a fire broke out due to an unattended candle in Parañaque on Nov. 2.
SFO1 Giovanni Corbes, of the Parañaque Bureau of Fire Protection, reported that the fire started at the house occupied by Leoneda Kabuenas, located at 110 Bakawan St., Purok 1, Silverio Compound, Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque, at around 4:57 a.m.
Corbes said the fire immediately spread, damaging five houses that were made of light materials, affecting seven families.
He said that 21 fire trucks responded to control and put the fire out at 6:07 a.m.
The BFP assessed the damage from the fire at P50,000, and no one was reported injured during the incident.
One of the victims claimed that the cause of the fire was an unattended candle because they had no electricity.
