Robbery suspect nabbed in Las Piñas for illegal gun possession

A 31-year-old man facing a robbery case in Cavite was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm by members of the Las Pin̈as City Police on Nov. 1.
Col. Sandro Tafalla, chief of Las Pin̈as City Police, identified the suspect as Reymart, a resident of Barangay Santa Teresita, Quezon City. He was nabbed around 2:30 a.m. at Alido Beach, Barangay Pulanglupa Uno, Las Pin̈as.
Tafalla said Reymart, listed at the No. 5 most wanted person, was arrested by combined teams from the Warrant and Subpoena Section and Tactical Motorcycle Unit (TMRU).
The suspect, who was caught with a .32-caliber revolver with six rounds of ammunition, was found to have an outstanding warrant of arrest in Cavite for his alleged involvement in a series of robbery-holdup incidents in Metro Manila.
The warrant was issued by Judge Nikki Rose dela Pena Esperanza of Bacoor, Cavite Regional Trial Court, Branch 114, for robbery, with a recommended bail of P100,000.
Police said a separate case for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will also be filed against the suspect.
