Over 92,000 flock to Manila cemeteries on first day of Undas 2025

The Manila Police District (MPD) said that more than 92,000 visitors flocked to various cemeteries in the city on the first day of Undas 2025, according to the Manila Police District (MPD).
As of 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, the Manila North Cemetery recorded the highest number of visitors with 53,700, followed by the Manila South Cemetery with 32,240.
The La Loma Cemetery logged 3,860 visitors, while the Manila Chinese Cemetery had 2,000, and Paco Park Cemetery registered 320.
Police and disaster response teams have been deployed to ensure peace and order, as well as assist the public throughout the observance.
Authorities reminded visitors to observe cemetery rules, keep their belongings secure, and cooperate with security personnel.
Crowds are expected to grow until Nov. 2, as more families visit their departed loved ones during the long weekend.
