Cha Eun-woo emcees, G-Dragon performs at APEC Economic Leaders' Gala Dinner

K-pop idol and actor Cha Eun-woo became the emcee while Big Bang’s G-Dragon performed at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Gala Dinner on Oct. 31 in Gyeongju, South Korea. 

The APEC Economic Gala Dinner, held at Lahan Select Gyeongju hotel, was attended by about 400 leaders and delegation from 21 APEC member countries, including South Korea’s President Lee Jae-myung, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Chinese President Xi Jinping, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. 

Cha Eun-woo, who is currently fulfilling his military service, showed his English skills as he emceed the dinner. Before the dinner, Cha Eun-woo was seen in Gyeongju wearing a military uniform. 

G-Dragon is the goodwill ambassador of APEC and he performed during the gala dinner, singing "Power," "Drama," and "Home Sweet Home."

The dinner menu consisted of vegetable bibimbap, braised short ribs, pie, and caramel dessert using ingredients from Gyeongju and developed by Korean-American star chef Edward Lee under the theme of “harmony of Korean and Western cuisine,” Korean media reported.
