Taguig LGU urges people to visit cemeteries early to avoid crowd, heavy traffic
The Taguig City government encouraged people to visit cemeteries early to avoid the crowd and heavy traffic.
Filipinos across the country will visit cemeteries on All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
“Ngayong Undas, inaasahan ang pagdagsa ng mga bibisita sa mga pampublikong sementeryo upang dumalaw at alalahanin ang kanilang mga pumanaw na mahal sa buhay. Pinapayuhan ang lahat na bumisita nang maaga upang maiwasan ang matinding siksikan ng tao (This Undas, a large number of visitors are expected to visit and remember their departed loved ones at public cemeteries. All are advised to visit early to avoid overcrowding),” the city government stated.
It advised people to bring their own water bottle or containers as there will be water refilling stations inside the cemeteries.
There are 10 cemeteries in Taguig. These are the Aglipay Cemetery, Bagumbayan Catholic Cemetery, Garden of Memories Memorial Park, Hagonoy Catholic Cemetery, Heritage Memorial Park, Imam Moh Kusin Memorial Park, Libingan ng mga Bayani, Tipas Roman Catholic Cemetery, Taguig City Public Cemetery, and Tuktukan Cemetery.
The city government will set up command posts and help desks in all cemeteries for Undas 2025. Visitors can ask assistance from the help desks.
“Personnel are also deployed across the city to ensure a peaceful and orderly observance of Undas,” it added.
Ahead of All Saints’ Day, the city government held clearing and cleaning operations in all cemeteries in Taguig.
The city government said the prohibited acts and items inside cemeteries are:
- Bringing and drinking alcohol
- Smoking and vaping
- Bringing of firearms and pointed objects, including knives, cutters and scissors
- Loud music
- Gambling
- Bringing toxic and flammable substances
