The Elasto Painters squandered a big lead but regained their touch just in time to turn back the Terrafirma Dyip, 106-91, while the Hotshots banked on their defense to overcome a gritty Phoenix Fuel Masters, 83-80.

ROS and Magnolia both improved to 4-1 records to catch up with TNT and Converge.

Leonard Santillan took over in the final frame, firing 16 of his 26 points as ROS regained its footing after squandering a once 17-point lead.

Keith Datu had 12 points while Jhonard Clarito and Felix Pangilinan-Lemetti finished with 11 apiece.

ROS overcame a three-headed assault from Terrafirma with Jerrick Ahanmisi firing 25 points while Paolo Hernandez added 20.

JM Bravo chipped in 17 in another losing effort for the Dyip.

In the second game, Jerom Lastimosa proved steady from the foul line, sinking two crucial free throws late to get their heads above the water before the Hotshots put up a tough defensive stand in the final possession.

Lastimosa finished with 14 points and seven rebounds while Ian Sangalang chipped in 11. Zav Lucero added 10 while Paul Lee contributed nine.

Jason Perkins paces the Fuel Masters with 19.
