The city government of Parañaque, through its Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO), released a traffic management plan in preparation for the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on Nov. 1 and 2.
According to the TPMO, motorists traveling along Dr. A. Santos Avenue (northbound) are advised to turn left at the second U-turn slot from the Fourth Estate Subdivision to access Manila Memorial Park.
In Himlayang Palanyag & Parañaque Catholic Cemetery, motorists along Ninoy Aquino Avenue (southbound) are advised to turn left onto Victor Medina Street, which will serve as the main entry and exit point for both cemeteries.
The TPMO said that a portion of Victor Medina Road (Kabihasnan) will be designated as a one-way parking area for visitors.
Meanwhile, A. Bonifacio and Tramo Roads will be temporarily closed to manage potential heavy traffic in the vicinity.
The implementation of the Expanded Number Coding Scheme was on Friday, Oct. 31, in observance of the eve of All Saints’ Day, to ease traffic flow and accommodate travelers visiting cemeteries and memorial parks ahead of the weekend observance.
The city government said a “Stop and Go” scheme will be implemented along the Carlos P. Garcia Avenue Extension (C-5 Extension) up to Sucat Road in Barangay San Dionisio due to a 'transport activity' of a 'girder link' from Oct.31 to Nov. 1 between 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. at 15-minute intervals.
In addition, a total truck ban will still be enforced along Doña Soledad Avenue and San Antonio Avenue during the same period for trucks exceeding 4,500 tons.
