Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez inspected the city’s four major cemeteries as the nation observed All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day or Undas.
Olivarez was joined by Rep. Eric Olivares, the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office team and the police during his visit to the Manila Memorial Park, Loyola Memorial Park, Parañaque Catholic Cemetery, and Himlayang Palanyag.
Olivarez said he wanted to make sure that everything is in place for the peaceful observance of Undas.
He explained that the Oplan Undas 2025 initiative involves the city's inter-agency task force and addresses every facet of the annual tradition, from security and traffic management to public assistance and cleanliness.
The mayor ordered the deployment of 700 law enforcement personnel to ensure peace and orderliness during Undas.
