A low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Friday night, Oct. 31.
In its latest advisory, the state weather bureau said the system, identified as LPA 10i, is currently being monitored outside the PAR and is showing signs of intensification.
“Low-Pressure Area (LPA 10i) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and now has a high chance to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” PAGASA stated.
Meanwhile, the agency said another weather disturbance, LPA 10j, is located inside the PAR but is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the same period.
“As of 8 p.m. today, 31 October 2025, a Low-Pressure Area (LPA 10j) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” PAGASA said.
