Coast Guard on heighted alert for 'Undas' in Negros Island Region

BACOLOD CITY – The Coast Guard District Southern Visayas is on heightened alert from Oct. 30 to Nov. 4 for “Undas” in Negros Island Region.
Proactive measures have been implemented under “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Undas 2025” to ensure the safety, security, reliability, and comfort of all passengers in Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor provinces.
Sufficient personnel have been deployed in all seaports and augmented other law enforcement units in various areas of convergence.
The Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental, together with substations, has activated Malasakit Help Desks to serve as assistance and information center for passengers and port-goers.
The Coast Guard Station Negros Oriental rendered security assistance to passengers and vessel crew.
Personnel were strategically deployed to conduct safety inspections, provide assistance to passengers, and monitor port activities to ensure full compliance with maritime safety standards.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bacolod has mobilized personnel across key cemeteries and transport hubs to ensure public safety, emergency readiness, and fire prevention from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2.
