2 LPAs being monitored by PAGASA; one enters PAR but unlikely to develop

One of two low-pressure areas (LPAs) being tracked by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but is not expected to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
In its 4 p.m. advisory on Friday, Oct. 31, the state weather bureau said the first weather disturbance, LPA 10j, is inside the PAR but is not expected to intensify soon.
“As of 2:00 p.m. today, 31 October 2025, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 10j) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is unlikely to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” PAGASA said.
Meanwhile, the agency said another low-pressure area, LPA 10i, is currently outside the PAR but has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, the weather agency added.
“Meanwhile, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 10i) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a medium chance to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours,” PAGASA stated.
