Mayor Khymer Olaso has issued two executive orders for the peaceful and orderly observance of All Saints' and All Souls' Days in Zamboanga City.
One authorizes the implementation of a temporary traffic rerouting scheme on roads leading to public and private cemeteries and the other provides prohibitions within the vicinity and inside cemeteries.
Cemetery visitors are prohibited from bringing in firearms, bladed weapons, and other similar items, drinking liquor, playing loud music, gambling, and using firecrackers and pyrotechnics.
Visitors were advised not to bring backpacks, wear bullcaps, waistcoats, chalecos, and hooded jackets.
Overnight stays inside the cemeteries are not allowed.
The executive orders are effective from 12 noon of Oct. 31 to 5 p.m. Nov. 2.
Cemeteries will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2.
