The High Speed Hitters square off with the struggling Nxled Chameleons in the 6:30 p.m. nightcap while the Foxies collide with the dangerous Choco Mucho Flying Titans at 4 p.m.
Raising the curtain is the 1:30 p.m. tussle between Cignal (2-2) and Capital1 (1-2), two teams also aiming to bolster their bids for the Top 3 spots in the bracket.
Every win carries enormous implications for Top 3 positioning in the group stage and favorable crossovers in the next round. The Top 8 will advance to the knockout stages, progressing from the quarterfinals to the semifinals and finally to the finals.
Toting identical 3-1 records, PLDT and Farm Fresh are both determined to tighten their hold on the upper half of the leaderboard. The High Speed Hitters have regained their rhythm after a four-set victory over the Foxies last weekend — a win that helped ease the sting of seeing their 15-game winning streak snapped by Cignal just a week earlier.
Still, PLDT remains focused on moving forward, with Savi Davison and import Anastasiia Bavykina ready to take charge along with Majoy Baron, Kianna Dy, Kim Fajardo, and Dell Palomata.
But they are not taking Nxled lightly, as the Chameleons are hungry to end a four-game slump that include a close five-set loss to Cignal last weekend.
Import Paola Martinez, who erupted for 38 points in that last game, is not losing hope that she and her teammates led by Chiara Permentilla and Lyann De Guzman can finally pull off that elusive victory.
Meanwhile, Farm Fresh hopes to regain their bearings after that loss to PLDT that halted its three-game winning run with Helene Rousseaux out to banner their assault along with Trisha Tubu and Ces Molina.
Choco Mucho, however, hopes to keep its momentum going following that dominating win over Nxled that put them at 2-1 at third place.
Leading the Flying Titans are Marlee Smith, Isa Molde, Kat Tolentino and Tia Andaya.
