The Pasay City government spread Halloween cheer to children with the conduct of trick-or-treat at the City Hall lobby on Oct. 29.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said children arrived in colorful or spooky costumes to join the Halloween festivities prepared by the city government.
The activity was organized by various city government offices, which handed out gifts and candies to the young participants.
The mayor said the annual tradition aims to provide Pasayeño children with a safe and joyful way to celebrate Halloween, while reinforcing the city’s advocacy for child-friendly and inclusive communities.
"This isn't just about fund and candies," the mayor said. "It's also about creating happy memories and reminding families that Pasay is a city that cares for its children.”
“Sa araw na ito, hayaan nating maging mas bata ulit tayo—magsaya, maglaro, at makisaya sa isa’t isa. Trick or Treat man ito, pero ang tunay na 'treat' ay ang pagkakaisa, samahan, at good vibes na dala ng bawat isa sa atin,” Rubiano said. (Today, let us be children again -- have fun, play, and enjoy each other's company. It may be a trick-or-treat, but the real 'treat' is the unity, camaraderie, and good vibes we share).
